Small vacuum pressure drop:
Material vaporized gas is sent from the heating surface to the external condenser, there is a certain pressure difference. In a general evaporator, this pressure drop (Δp) is usually relatively high, sometimes even unacceptably high. The scraped film evaporator has a large space for gas to pass through, and the pressure in the evaporator can be regarded as almost equal to the pressure in the condenser. Therefore, the pressure drop is very small and the vacuum degree can reach 5mmHg.
Low operating temperature:
Due to the above characteristics, this allows the evaporation process to be carried out under high vacuum conditions. Due to the increase in the degree of vacuum, the boiling point of the corresponding material drops rapidly. Therefore, the operation can be carried out at a lower temperature, which reduces the thermal decomposition of the product.
Short heating time:
Due to the unique structure of the wiper film evaporator, the film wiper has a pumping effect, which makes the residence time of the material in the evaporator very short; in addition, the high-speed turbulence of the film on the heated evaporator prevents the product from staying in the evaporation器surface. Therefore, it is especially suitable for the evaporation of heat-sensitive materials.
High evaporation intensity:
The lowering of the boiling point of the material increases the temperature difference with the heating medium; the function of the film wiper reduces the thickness of the liquid film in a turbulent state and reduces the thermal resistance. At the same time, in this process, the material is prevented from walling and scaling on the heating surface, and accompanied by good heat exchange, therefore, the overall heat transfer coefficient of the scraped film evaporator is improved.
Flexible operation:
It is precisely because of the unique performance of the scraped film evaporator that it is suitable for processing heat-sensitive and stable evaporation, high viscosity and sharply increasing viscosity materials with increasing concentration, and the evaporation process can also evaporate smoothly. It can also be successfully applied to the evaporation and distillation of materials containing solid particles, crystallization, polymerization, and scaling.
