Molecular distillation can obtain pure and safe products, and the operation process is simple and the equipment is few. Molecular distillation technology can separate substances that are not easily separated by conventional distillation. The molecular distillation device must ensure a high vacuum that the system pressure can reach. It has high requirements for material sealing, and the distance between the evaporation surface and the condensation surface should be moderate. The equipment processing is difficult. The cost is high.
The energy consumption of molecular distillation products is small. Due to the small overheating loss of the entire separation of molecular distillation, the unique structural form of molecular distillation device, its internal pressure is extremely low and internal resistance is much smaller than conventional distillation, which can greatly save energy consumption.
For the separation of high boiling point, heat sensitive and easily oxidizable materials, molecular distillation provides the best separation method. Because molecular distillation operates at a temperature much lower than the boiling point of the material, and the residence time of the material is short. The distillate film of molecular distillation is thin, the heat transfer efficiency of the whole product is high, and the heating time of the material is short. The distance between the heated liquid surface and the condensing surface is less than the mean free path of light molecules, so it escapes from the liquid surface The light molecules almost reach the condensation surface without collision. As the tower equipment mainly used in the mass transfer process, the gas and liquid phases must first be fully contacted to obtain higher mass transfer efficiency. In addition to meeting the process conditions, the following basic requirements should also be met:
1. The production capacity should be large. That is, the processing volume of materials per unit time on the unit tower section should be large. Under the larger gas-liquid flow rate, it is still unknown that a large amount of entrainment, liquid blocking or flooding will disrupt normal operation.
2. High separation efficiency. That is, the gas and liquid phase can be fully contacted and the separation effect is good.
3. The operation flexibility is large. That is, it has strong adaptability and wide operating range. It can adapt to materials of different properties and can maintain stable operation when the load fluctuates, and still has a high separation efficiency.
4. The pressure drop is small. That is, when the fluid passes through, the resistance is small, which can greatly save the power consumption of production and reduce the cost. If the pressure drop in the decompression tower is too large, the system will be difficult to maintain the necessary vacuum.
5. Simple structure, few consumables, easy to manufacture and install, which can reduce investment and cost.
6. Corrosion resistant and not easy to block, easy to operate, adjust and repair.
